Food Vs Supplements

Athletes are bound by the ‘strict liability’ code and are solely responsible for anything that they consume.  A contaminated supplement could mean the end of your swimming career.  Swim Ulster’s advice is that swimmers under 18yrs of age do not use supplements and that athletes over 18yrs only use supplements if their nutrition, training and recovery practices are world class.  Click on the link to find information on how to minimise the risk of purchasing a contaminated supplement.
