Ards ASC is a well-established competitive swimming club based in the Borough of Ards and North Down. We have had representation at 2000,2008 and 2012 Olympics and 2012 Paralympics as well as the 1986,1994,1998,2002,2006,2010 and 2014 commonwealth games .The club has further been represented at World Championships, European Championships , World Student Games , European Games ,Youth Olympics and Youth Commonwealths. The club is run by a committee of dedicated volunteers and caters for swimmers at every stage of the cycle offering expert coaching and teaching at all levels.
We accept swimmers from age 6 learners through to performance athletes. We also offer swimming for non-competitive swimmers in the youth squad as well as running a competitive masters swimmers section. We aim to be all-inclusive, encouraging swimmers of all abilities and backgrounds to take part , whilst supporting performance athletes in their quest for representative honours.
The club is based at Ards Leisure Centre, 64-70 William St, Newtownards BT23 4EJ
