SportNI grant - closing date reminder

SportNI's new grant, called Sport Matters Equipment & Capital Programme, will close for applications at 4pm on 7th September, so clubs should be preparing their applications now.

The programme's online application form and guidance notes can be accessed at the following link on SNI’s website www.sportni.net/sportmatters

SportNI have a team to answer any queries - contact Sport Matters: Capital and Equipment programme team on 028 9038 2222 or alternatively at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

This may be the last opportunity to secure funding from SportNI for some time, so all our clubs should seriously consider making an application for equipment.

The grants range from £1,000 to £30,000. However, there are very specific criteria that have to be met. You will only be successful if your application is tailored exactly to match the criteria.

There are also a number of documents you will have to supply with your application, so make sure you leave enough time to get these together. For example, you must show that you have an access agreement with the owners of the premises you plan to store the new equipment.

Full details of what is required are on the SportNI website.
